Dr. Sana Shamim​

Dr. Sana Shamim was raised in different parts of the world. She returned home to Maryland and graduated from the University of Maryland College Park. She then obtained her medical degree at the Temple University School of Podiatric medicine.

She completed a 3 year surgical residency at Roxborough Memorial Hospital where she served as Chief Resident. She has been involved in research and poster publications. She is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.

Dr. Sana Shamim is an Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Dr. Shamim returned to Maryland to serve the Frederick Community. She has an office in Frederick.

She is skilled to treat all types of foot and ankle pathology. Dr. Shamim has a special interest in limb salvage, dermatology, sports medicine and surgery. She spends a significant amount of time in educating her patients and devising a treatment plan with realistic goals. She is focused on education and preventive care to allow her patients to promote a healthy pain free life.

Dr. Shamim enjoys traveling, hiking, running and spending time with her daughter and husband.
